When will you travel to Nara Park?
About the Nara Park
Nara Park is a park famous for deer rice crackers in Nara City, Nara Prefecture.
There are about 1200 deer in Nara Park.
Shika-senbei is a rice cracker-shaped food sold at stores in Nara Park for tourists to feed deer in Nara Park.
You can interact with deer in Nara Park mainly from around 8:30 in the morning until the evening. Deer start their activities around dawn and return to their sleeping areas before sunset.
The best time to feed and interact with the deer is from morning to afternoon. Early morning is especially recommended, as the deer are very active!
You can see deer all year round and feed deer but be aware that wild animals can attack you.
In Nara Park, feeding deer other than deer rice crackers is prohibited.
